Need to attach document during approval by business owners

Hi All,

We have a requirement to add an attachement by business owner(approvers) at the approval levels containing the steps to provision the entitlements or other details in the target application. For now the application is disconnected by later will be created as connected application.

We want to know if there's any feasibility to attach document/provisioning steps while approving the request for a particular application. The IAM system(not saviynt) being used by the client has this utility to add document/attachments containing the required steps to perform while provisioning during the usual request approval flow.

Is there any workaround for this in Saviynt (v24.5) to acheive this usecase?

Please advice.

Best Regards,

Kundan Pathak

Hi @Kundan960 ,

Yes, you can add attachment during approval.

  1. Enable the below configuration if the approval is made from UI: PremMahadikar_0-1723468290916.png
  2. As you also mentioned other IAM system as ability to attach documents during approval, assuming you are using Saviynt API for creating and approving the request. if you are looking for attachment from API -
    • Currently, we don't have an option to attach document during request approval from single API.
    • As a workaround, you can use request approval API with {{url}}/ECM/{{path}}/updateRequest API
