SSO Bypass from v23.3 - still possible?

Hello everybody,

when it comes to SSO, there used to be the possibility to have an SSO-Bypass configured for predefined users. Starting from v23.3, there is no mentioning of the SSO-Bypass in the SAV documentation anymore.

As we want to test SSO in our dev-instance, we need the SSO-Bypass to not be locked out.

Is SSO-Bypass still posible to be configured in SAV v23.3 and higher systems? If not, what is the proposed solution for developer-accounts in Saviynt?

Thank you!

You will not be able to Bypass SSO, if it is enabled.

For any developer, it would be recommended to use SSO account or to disable SSO to use system.

Hello @RakeshMG ,

if SSO Bypass is not available, how can we efficiently test the SSO configuration?

Even though we followed the documentation, the SSO didn't work and we weren't able to access the dev instance anymore. We now created the third support ticket to deactivate SSO as we tried for the third time another configuration, but this try-and-error with a FreskDesk ticket along the way is far from efficient...

What was the background on removing the SSO bypass as a feature?

@VicyB , I am having the same issue now. Did you get any local login URL?

Hi @rituparna_pwc ,

we needed to create a Freshdesk (Support) ticket every time we tested SSO and the DEV instance crashed.

Good news: The support was always quite quick with disabling SSO, so usually within an hour we had a usable instance back. Good luck with the SSO configuration!
