Need Information on setting up DNS for a new application server

Hi,

We have a new application service that we would like to integrate with Saviynt. For our customer, we have private VPC in place to access on-prem applications. In the connector Json, we do not want to use FQDN, but instead, use DNS of the server. Could you please let us know how to achieve this and also let me know if this is done by creating a static DNS or by using conditional forwarding to customer internal DNS Servers.

FQDN:XXX.XX.X.XXX
DNS: sapgwd-api.www.wwww.ww

Thanks!

Looks like this is an Internal document and I did not realize while share it. This is a config that will need to be setup by Saviynt and you can reach out to Saviynt support for this. Below are the details that Saviynt team will need.

  • Domain Names: All the domain names that need to be resolved by Saviynt application.

  • DNS Servers: IP address for customer DNS servers.

  • UDP Port 53:

    • If connectivity is established via IPSec VPN or Direct Connect then confirm if UDP port 53 is already open on Customer DNS servers for Saviynt network. if not this port need to be opened for DNS forwarder IP address. Saviynt will provide the IP for DNS forwarder.

    • If connectivity is done via saviynt connect 2 (SC2) then confirm if UDP port 53 is already open on Customer DNS servers for SC2 Client.
