DND setup for Certifications

We have setup DND Delegate for a userA and enabled 'Do Not Disable Delegate' in global congigurations.

When a certifiecation is launched with userA as certifier, we noticed that emails related are not sent to userA  but redirected to the DND delegate user set,as expected. But the delegate user is not able to view the certification under his queue to take action.  For the delegate user to be able to view and take action on the certification, we had to create another normal delegate as well (From Manage Delegate option in ARS).

Is this an expected behavior that DND Delegate option in user profile will only mute and redirect  emails and for the actual item delegation to work, do we need to set up a separate delegation?

Its expected. Mute email will not send notifications and normal delegate will assign work to delegated person

Based on the description provided, it seems that the behaviour observed is expected. Enabling the "Do Not Disable Delegate" (DND Delegate) option in the user's profile ensures that emails are redirected to the designated delegate, as intended. However, the delegate shouldn't have direct access to userA's tasks unless explicitly granted.

To allow the delegate user to view and take action on certifications, a separate delegation needs to be set up using the "Manage Delegate" option in ARS. This additional delegation ensures that the delegate user has the necessary permissions to access and manage certifications on behalf of the userA.

Therefore, it is expected that enabling the DND Delegate option only redirects emails to the delegate user, while setting up a separate delegation is required to grant access and permissions for managing certifications.
