Hello,
We found that when a enterprise role is inactive, we could not update the role, but we still can assign the inactive role to users.
This may cause Add Access task and/or New Account task if there is entitlements setup for the inactive role.Is it the expected behaviour? how can we prevent the tasks caused by an inactive role?

if role is inactive it will not visible on UI for request . You can prevent same by checking role status in workflow like if role is inactive then reject the request
