why do we use execution trail and audit trail

Why do we use execution trail and audit trail sections. Is there any major difference between them. Or in which scenario's we can make use of this sections.

The execution trail typically refers to a chronological record of actions taken during the execution of a process or operation. It's commonly used to track the sequence of steps followed to achieve a particular outcome.

 audit trail is a comprehensive record of all activities related to a specific transaction, operation, or process. It includes details such as who performed the action, what action was taken, when it occurred, and any relevant metadata. Audit trails are crucial for compliance, security, and accountability purposes.

While both sections capture actions and events, the key difference lies in their scope and level of detail. Execution trails focus on the sequence of steps within a specific process, while audit trails provide a broader view of all activities and are often used for regulatory compliance and investigation purposes.

Audit logs enable you to track who changed what and when on the Saviynt Enterprise Identity Cloud (EIC) interface. All actions performed by a user such as create, update, delete, and show are recorded for each Object Type (referred as 'type of access' in the database) and Object Name (referred as 'ObjectKey' in database) in the userlogin_access table.

Audit logs can tell you who initiated an action (create, update, delete, or show) in EIC. For example, you can find out the accounts or users that have been added by an administrator or a specific user.
