What are AOB connections

We  are migrating from v5.5 and got a parallel environment of 24.2 and in that I see connections starting with AOB keyword and with connection type as diconnected. What is this AOB connection and is it a new feature ?

For application (Security System) if there are no import connection then system creates default connection with AOB_RECON_securutySystemName

When you upgrade from an earlier release version, EIC automatically creates new connections of the Disconnected connection type for managing the existing disconnected applications from Application Management. These connections are prefixed by AOB_RECON_. Make sure that you do not edit or delete these connections. If you delete these connections, the corresponding disconnected applications cannot be managed from Application Management.
