SAP TCODE Usage Configuration

Hello,

We are trying to bring into Saviynt the transaction (TCODE) usage data from SAP S4 target system, in order to be able to configure the Usage Analytics Report and SOD Actual vs Potential, as per client requirement.

After reading the available documentation, we identified there are 2 possible ways of bringing the transaction usage data in Saviynt:

  1. Import directly from the integrated SAP S4 target system, by adding the SWNCMONIINDEX table in the TABLES parameter in the connector and running the Application Data Import job.
  2. Importing data to Saviynt from SAP S4 by using File Upload. This option involves extracting the data from SAP, exporting it in a file, then upload it in Saviynt through File Directory > Data Files  (~/Saviynt/Imports/Datafiles/<foldername>).

Our questions are:

  1. Considering the 2 available options mentioned above, what is the recommended way to bring into Saviynt the transaction usage data from SAP target system?
  2. For option no.1 (direct import from integrated target system), since we did not find this info in the documentation, we would like to know, is it enough to add the table SWNCMONIINDEX in the Tables parameter in the connector? Are there additional configurations that should be performed on SAP end?

Thank you in advance,

Mihaela

Uploading data into datafiles will be manual activity hence adding table in sap connector is best practices
