Regex in SOD function building

Hello,

I would like to know what the regex Tab actually does in the SOD function building. I'm referring to the SOD module>Ruleset>Functions>Edit Function>Regex.

I could only find this in the documentation but it does not really explain anything:
"Use this tab to manage regex expression for the function."

So what is the purpose of this? How can this help in SOD function building? Could this be used e.g. dynamically fetch entitlements for the function?

Could you also update the documentation in documentation portal about this particular configuration.

This is a deprecated feature and is not going to be used. In case you need a feature like e.g. dynamically fetch entitlements for the function, please raise a ticket in the ideas portal.

@uthra_rahul can this be worked upon. If the feature is deprecated we explicitly call out in document.
