Email Update Based On Attribute Change

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to update email whenever certain attribute changes. We have created email generation logic and it is working fine for new users. We have created one user update rule which says whenever one attribute changes (ie: first name) it should generate email. We tried that and it is triggering the rule also but not modifying the mail. When we checked logs we saw this message over there "No Special Characters selected, Please Add Special Characters for Email Generation Rule." Even we have mentioned everything and working perfectly fine for new users. 

Can some please suggest here. FYI: In user update rule I have just mentioned when First name is updated, though in normal user generation logic we have combinations of first name, preferedfirst name, last name, title and departmentnames.

Actually in global config reuse same email for user we had to uncheck. It started working after that.
