custom task start date for access bug

Hello,

We seem to have ran into a bug regarding the "Ask For Start Date End Date While Request" option in the entitlement type while requesting access.

We set the "Create Task if Start date less than" option in global configuration to 15 minutes.

Example 1: We request access for a user at 1:30PM, it is currently 1:20PM. The task gets created under pending tasks as there is less than 15 mins remaining and when we run a provisioning job at 1:31PM the access gets provisioned

Example 2: We request access for a user at 2:30PM, it is currently 1:20PM. The task doesn't get created as there are more than 15 minutes remaining. When we look at pending tasks at 2:25PM, we still do not see a task created for access. If we check the pending/completed tasks at 2:35PM, we still do not see the task anywhere and the access has not been granted for the user.

We have a use case where our customer has to be able to revoke access for a user and re-assign access at a specific date. This bug makes us unable to do this.

Have we forgotten a configuration somewhere?

Did you ran Create Tasks for Future Ent Role Requests (EnterpriseRoleManagementJob)  Job ?

This was indeed the issue. For some reason, the job has to be run in the 15 minutes that the task is available, otherwise the task won't show up.
