Block any request due to existing request - Affects entire endpoint

Hello,

We were looking into the Block any request due to existing request/task in-flight button that can be enabled at the endpoint level.

Based on the observations, once enabled, it prevents end user from submitting additional requests from the same endpoint. This is an issue because when there are multiple entitlements in an endpoint, the end user should be able to submit access or even modify access of the other entitlements. Ideally they should be only blocked from submitting duplicate requests if request again for the same entitlement.

1) Do we know why this feature behaves in a way that blocks requests for the whole endpoint and not per entitlement?

2) Can we create an IDEAS or enhancement request to consider the possibility of having the block request per entitlement?

3) Do you have any alternative approaches to prevent end user from requesting the same request again and again for the same entitlement?

Kind regards,

Chandu K.

inflight mode is expected that if any request /task processing in progress it will block end user to submit request

1) Do we know why this feature behaves in a way that blocks requests for the whole endpoint and not per entitlement? - This is expected , e.g. when there are SoD enabled for application if user submit multiple request it will not be easy to calculate SoD

2) Can we create an IDEAS or enhancement request to consider the possibility of having the block request per entitlement?  --> Already in place https://ideas.saviynt.com/ideas/EIC-I-3104

3) Do you have any alternative approaches to prevent end user from requesting the same request again and again for the same entitlement? - Create dynamic attribute and implement logic using SQL query
