Workday onboarding and modifications based on different effective dates

We need to pull Workday data based on different effective dates for new onboardings and data modifications.

Workday is our authoritative source, and we retrieve data using the Workday-SOAP connector 15 days in advance (effective date = current date + 15 days). However, this approach is causing issues during promotion cycles because titles and other crucial fields are updated 15 days in advance, leading to users discovering their promotions before HR informs them.

To resolve this, we are seeking a mechanism to pull the data modifications using the current effective date i.e. current date and new onboarding data 15 days in advance, as we need to provision birthright access 15 days prior to the user's start date.

Can this be supported within the same Workday-SOAP connection? Please let us know.

Yes, it is possible to configure the Workday-SOAP connector to handle different effective dates for data modifications and new onboardings.

In the standard documentation, I couldn't find any mention of using multiple effective dates within the same connection. Could you please provide any information that might support this case?

You can add feedback on documentation portal
