As per Latest L100 Course information

Application Tier: Saviynt runs on leading J2EE compliant application server platforms, including Glassfish, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, and Tomcat to support JSP/Java Servlet and EJB execution, as well as to exploit the performance and scalability features inherent in these servers. Saviynt also supports application server clustering for increased performance and virtually automatic failover in mission-critical computing environments.

Database Tier: Saviynt leverages RDBMS as its backend store via the Hibernate framework. The virtual appliance comes bundled with MySQL which is the preferred DB. Also, Saviynt supports other DBs such as Oracle, MS SQL RDBMS through the Hibernate framework.
