User's Status not being made inactive when terminated from Target

Hi,

We are having similar issue as these posts that I have provided links below for.

https://forums.saviynt.com/t5/identity-governance/users-not-in-feed-option-on-userimportjob/m-p/4621...

https://forums.saviynt.com/t5/identity-governance/user-disablement-when-user-is-not-in-feed/m-p/6454...

We are importing users from a Rest Connection and setting the status to be active in the mapping within the Import User JSON. Below is the mapping configuration for status and the reason we are doing it this way is because we are not getting the value from the target app.

"statuskey": "#CONST#1~#~char"

What we need is when a user has been removed from the target application and is no longer in the user feed then it should become inactive.

What I have tried so far is to set User Not In Feed Action to inactivate within the user import job. I have also changed the User Termination from Imports setting in Global config to disabled as we don’t want users to be terminated in Saviynt.

Is there any other setting/config that we need to change to make this work?

Hello @mharris,

User Not In Feed Action to inactivate within the user import job should be working from version 23.11.
Currently you can use global config to make it disable.

Thanks.

Hi @sudeshjaiswal,

I have made User Termination from Imports disabled in global config but the user is still active in Saviynt when not in the user feed.

Is there anything else that needs to be changed?

Hello @mharris,

if you try to keep it enable at global config, it will terminate the user and remove all the access,
currently only the option is to upgrade to achieve your use case.

Thanks.

Thank you @sudeshjaiswal

Will upgrade to achieve use case.

@mharris

Did you try to set userTerminationLimit to an acceptable value in the externalconfig.properties? and check if your users are getting inactivated?

For the option Inactivate User only - wait for 23.11
