Test Email Notification From SC 2.0 Client Monitoring

Please let us know a way to test the email notification from the SC 2.0 Client monitoring software.

The monitoring solution periodically checks for the OpenVPN service status and the tunnel (tun0) and alerts when the OpenVPN service is in stopped state or when the tunnel (tun0) is not available.

Bring down openVpn to test the alert emails.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. We have already tried it. The point is that the monitoring script restarts the tunnes tun0 if it finds that the tunnel is in inactive state. This is what is happening in our case. Before the monitoring script could initiate and email alert, the monitoring script restarts the tunnel. We need another way to test this.

Please advise.
