Hi team,
we have a use case for AD application we want to create a temporary password from saviynt(Passwordpolicy) and that password should expire in 1 week time, is this possible?
I see an option "expire after days" in password policy but how will it manage expiration on application end as we would have linked the temp password to account and also would have send the email to user?
Thanks

You need to trigger Password Expired task from actionable analytics.

Hi @rushikeshvartak , but we want to expire password for AD account not user, The doc that you have shared explain expiry for user password.

Use user update rule in this case.

@rushikeshvartak , then what does "expire after days" do in policy .. is there no way we can utilize it for downstream application?
Instead of using user update rule?

Did you attached password policy of SCOPE = APPLICATION to Security system ? if yes then it will expire

Hi @rushikeshvartak , Yes scope is set to Application, but problem remains the same as temp password is set on application end, how will it expire on application end? will it create a task from saviynt to do so?

ideally it should create but just thinking how saviynt will know or trigger point to expire password of application

@rushikeshvartak, nothing is documented in depth regarding the same.
