Technical rule should go for approval before creating pending tasks

Hi Team,

We are uploading users through User Management (Upload user request). Once the users get onboarded into Saviynt related technical rules are getting triggered. Before it creates pending task, it should go for the manager/User Group Approval. Once manager approves then it should create pending task. 

Could someone guide how to achieve the above requirement.

Hi @Bhargavi3 , technical rules are mostly for BirthRight access. Logically they are meant for automated provisioning and not for workflows.

If you want workflow on access requests - ARS would be better.

Use case:
For External users onboarding, CallCenter manager will login into Saviynt, and he will upload the users through CSV Upload (through User management). Once he uploads the users gets created and the required technical rules gets triggered to assign birth right access. After those pending tasks gets created. Before it creates pending tasks that request must go for approval and once it gets approved then it should go for pending tasks.

Do we have any chance to achieve the above use case.

There can't be workflow between rule and tasks creation AFAIK.

Create a form for external user onboarding and attach a approval workflow for that form.

Answer is NO, you can't have a workflow between rule triggered and pending tasks.

You can try disabling user modification auto approval and select an workflow. Workflow will be before user record is created, if approved user will be created --> rule triggers --> pending tasks.
