Does saviynt support resolving DNS servers locally (using static DNS entry)

Hi,

We have an application server for which we need DNS setup using static DNS and NOT using conditional forwarding. We are aware that Saviynt supports forwarding but not sure if it supports local static DNS entry. Do we know if this is possible?

Saviynt tries to resolve DNS ----> Resolves locally with local static dns entry (not forward the request)

Please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi @Bharadwaj,

Resolution can be achieved through either DNS forwarding, a method currently implemented for our customers, or by utilizing static IPs within the parameters of the Saviynt server. However, it is important to note that the latter is not the recommended approach.

In the context of static DNS, if the reference is to updating the local host file, we do not endorse or support such a method. The recommended configuration involves DNS forwarding utilizing a customer DNS server for optimal performance and functionality.
