Data File upload

Not able to upload the data file "message Properties" getting this error. what could be the reason.

@vivekmistry : .properties extension is not allowed. Please upload in .csv extension.

You can not upload the files with extension properties. Make sure to save same as it as file in .csv format and the upload. We did the same way and it's working for us.
