To retry rule or rule action failures for users created/updated
Execution Trail is located under Admin>Policies
You have to set the following properties in the externalconfig.properties to record rule execution failures
Birthright (Technical) Rules and User update rules
Action Trail tab records action failures in a rule. In this case, rule was fired, but one/many actions did not process right. SSM records both the successful and failed rule actions in Action Trail tab
For eg: Rule has 2 actions one being “Notify as an email” and another being “Launch Certification”. If the smtp/mail server went down, then “Notify as an email” action will not be processed and other action “Launch certification” would be processed and launched a campaign successfully. In the above scenario, we would see action “Notify as an email” as a failed transaction in Action Trail tab
Action Trail tab records rule failures (rules that did not process to completion due to error/interruptions/application going down). Each row corresponds to a rule that could not be processed
Click on the Execute Again option in Action column to rerun the failed action or rule in Action Trail and Current Rule Trail features
Once after the rule action or rule is executed by retrying again and had completed processing and all actions in rule are executed to completion, then the line item is archived and moved to Archived Rule Trail section
Pre-requisite: You can turn on config “User Rule Execution Trail from Job History to view User Rule Execution Trail in Job History page of User import Job (Connection based User import job)
You can click on the button and view the execution trail for all users imported as part of the job for any failed transaction
