Recommendations of using Archival jobs
Archival jobs are essential for maintaining data integrity, complying with regulatory requirements, and optimizing system performance, Also is the process of collecting older data and moving it to a protected location so it can be retrieved for later analysis and helps manage regulatory requirements for data compliance. With data archiving, the information is moved to free up storage resources,
From 3.16 and 23v
1. Archival Policies: Please ensure that you review the existing global policy defined in Saviynt, which is configured as per the specifications of the existing Archival jobs in Saviynt
2.Archival Process: Saviynt provides a OOTB Archival job ( DefaultArchivalJobTrigger )which runs every Saturday at 11pm UTC. We strongly recommend against making any changes to this job trigger unless there is a very specific and compelling reason to do so. ( only Role admin and ROLE_ADMIN_SAVIYNTSUPPORT sav role users can edit the schedule of this job )
3. Manual Trigger: Saviynt also provides a option to create your own trigger and run it accordingly as per your requirements
4.Data Integrity: You can check the Archived files in the Admin> Archival section where all the files which are Archived will be visible. Please make sure when you configure for first time always test the Archival policy and integrity so that there is no data corruption or loss.
5.Monitor archival jobs: Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to track the progress of archival jobs. Regularly monitor job execution, identify any issues or failures, and take corrective actions promptly
6. Data retention Period:

Note: Request and task archival are in the scope of the product but not yet live ,even in case you see in the job it will not archive the requests and tasks, this will soon be updated
Implementing Archival policy will improve the system performance and Data integrity. Also it ensures the compliance and operational Efficiency.
what is process on unarchive of data ?
@Darshanjain The link under Reference documentation doesn't work, maybe this?
Hi @Victor
Yes the link will be updated soon.
@rushikeshvartakUnarchive of data is based on the storage selected and same has been updated in documentation as well.
@Darshanjain regarding the features yet to go live, if possible what is the expected timeline?
When would the Completed Tasks go live? We are currently on 24.1 and that option doesn't seem to exist yet.
