Use Open Connector

This option is used to enable or disable the connectivity with any system over the open-source connectors such as REST.
The following options are available to select:

  • Yes: Select Yes to enable REST connectivity to other systems.

  • No: Select No to disable REST connectivity to other systems.

Usage:

  1. Data Import:

    • When the "Fetch Users" task runs, it will call the /users endpoint of the REST API, fetch the user data, and map it to Saviynt's user attributes based on the defined mappings.
  2. Provisioning:

    • If you define provisioning tasks (e.g., Create User, Update User), these will utilize the same open connector configuration to send data back to the REST API for account management.

By using the "Use Open Connector" configuration, you leverage Saviynt's ability to interact with various systems seamlessly without needing extensive custom coding, making integrations more manageable and scalable.
