Is SQL with CTE (Common Table expression) still not supported.

I've been trying to use CTE (Common Table expression) as part of our Analytics.  However this forum post  indicates it wasn't supported as of 24.1 I'm just wondering if this has been implemented as of 24.5 as we're seeing a similar error or if it's due to be implemented in the future.

CTE is not supported please raise idea ticket
