Hello Team,

Subject: Connector Type for Okta Application for Account and Group provisioning

Saviynt Version: 23.4

Details:

We have successfully completed the account import operation of Okta application into Saviynt using connection type "Okta".

Now we are looking for the correct connector type in Saviynt for user account provisioning in Okta application.

Can you please help to guide for the correct connector type to use for account provisioning in Okta application.

Currently in Saviynt System we can see the following Connector Showing for Okta Application:

 Okta

 Okta_PAM_TEMPLATE(Okta)

 Okta_Template(Okta)

 OktaProvisioning_Template(Okta)

 OKTA_OTP(REST)

Please guide, which one I should use for account provisioning in Okta application.

Also,

  • Accounts are imported, but the default security system "OKTA_APPLICATION_SECURITYSYSTEM" is not created.
  • WE cannot see connection types specified in the doc (Okta_REST and Okta_Apps_REST) in our environment.

Thanks,

Navin

Hello @nkashyap,

You should use OktaProvisioning_Template(Okta).(PFA screeshot below)

Use Case Connection Type

Importing all the accounts and accesses from the Okta server

Okta

For integration information, see Creating a Connection

Provisioning and de-provisioning of Okta groups and accounts

REST

For integration information, see Creating a Connection

Provisioning and de-provisioning of application-specific accounts on Okta specific applications.

REST

For integration information, see Creating a Connection

  • The OKTA connection has a mandatory parameter, OKTA_APPLICATION_SECURITYSYSTEM, which is used to specify the security system name which is automatically created.  Ensure that the name given for the auto-created Security System is different from the manually created Security System. The automatically created Security System is primarily used to import data from Okta applications.
