We would like to let the system generate a name for new service accounts so that the requestor of the service account would always use the generated name and wouldn't be able to manually enter a new for new service accounts.

I have configured a Service Account Name rule for service account that uses a dynamic property. The dynamic property fetches the next free number by "Single Select From Sql Query". When the requestor requests a new service account using "Manage Service Accounts", she has to select that value from the dynamic attribute and then click "Generate" button below the Account Name field. SSM lets the requestor to type any name for the service account.

Is it possible to configure SSM service account creation to:

- preselect the value from the SQL ENUM dynamic attribute

- set that as the default value for the service account nam

- prevent the requestor to type any other value to the service account name?

best regards,

Sampo

Hi,

Please refer to the options available for the service account name rule in documentation.

Thanks
