How can Saviynt assign Task Owners automatically i.e, without selecting task and assigning owners.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hi Rituparna,
By default, the endpoint owners are the task owners. So, if you want a certain user/usergroup to be the owner of the tasks, please set the same value at the Endpoint ownertype and owner fields.

Hi Saparja,
That is not happening , we are on version 5.5SP2.
We have assigned Owners in Endpoint. Owner Type = User. Owner = UserX.
but when task is created for the specific endpoint, that task owner is always admin.
Thanks,
Rituparna Das

@Riturparna Das, what was the resolution we are experiencing the same?
04/12/2022 02:19 PM
We have the same issue. If the system is disconnected it is working as described, but not when it is automated. This makes it difficult to monitor/analyze tasks in case of errors.
How was this resolved?

Hi Ivan,
The task ownership is currently limited only to the disconnected applications.

Thanks! But endpoint owners should still be able to see the tasks that are under admin user?
04/12/2022 02:19 PM
In the case of connected applications, as the endpoint owners are not the task owners, they need to have any of these SAV roles - ROLE_ADMIN or ROLE_TASKADMIN in order to view the tasks.

Can you please share the instructions for the ROLE_TASKADMIN? I would like to see this is helps for my users delegated admin issues as well.
