@ sign getting removed from account name when email is set

Hi Team ,

I am observing one issue, when email is  set to accountname attribute of application. @ sign from the accountname is getting removed. I can see email value without @sign in account name .

below is screen shot, account created with account name without having @sign.

please check and let me know , is there any extra configuration i need to add.
