Workday-User import without username

All,

1. The workday SOAP user import does creates ID if username is removed from import mapping.
2. Even though the job is success, nothing gets inserted into saviynt.
3. Is there a way to not import username and generate and save user name from Add Register User Rule
4. Additional info - we are using universal id as recon field which we are saving in cp2;

username is mandatory attribute and it needs to be there during import and user creation
