SAP 4HANA (S4) - Account Import Query

We are planning to utilize the SAP HANA connector to establish a connection between SAP 4HANA (S4) and Saviynt. We require assistance in understanding the specific details we should expect from the SAP 4HANA (S4) import into Saviynt, particularly with respect to the tables mentioned in the Saviynt documentation.

Tables : Accounts, Roles, Privileges, Schema, Table, View, AnalyticalPrivileges, RolePriv, and AccountPriv.

@PeterRaja  SAP S/4 HANA is different from SAP HANA connector.

SAP HANA connector supports integrating with SAP at the DB layer. Entitlement types of  HANA connector are different from what we see in S/4 HANA Connector. Eg. HANA_Role, Tables, Views, Privileges.

If we are looking for integrating S/4 HANA with saviynt, Connection type of HANA is not the connector your are looking at. Try using the SAP Connector - which brings in SAPRoles, Groups, Tcodes, Auth Objects, etc etc which are SAP S/4 HANA entitlements.

Thanks Ram for the response.

We already using SAP generic connector to import but the correlation attribute which is email here is not in the list of allowed tables and it is stored in ADR6 table in SAP application. Do you think if any other way that we can import ADR6 table email address filed to Saviynt ?

Now we are thinking to switch to HANA type incase we have more option to import email address when we connect with SAP DB. Please advice if you come through such situation and any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

@PeterRaja

  1. Saviynt does not support import of ADR6 table in SAP Application.
  2. Switching to HANA (connect via SAP DB) type will not give you the way to import email address as well. The nature of entitlements also differs here.
  3. If Email is the correlating factor, and you definitely need it, then you will have to write a custom JAR to fetch the email from SAP by reading the ADR6 table and create a feed file.
  4. Use the schema import job to import the email into accounts object.
