Regression testing best practices

Hello,

We are considering an updating EIC to a new version and need to develop our own testing plan for the system before we can proceed. 

Are there any guides or best practice suggestions from the community for regression testing the EIC in our lower environment? We feel pretty confident testing apps we've onboarded but any advice or recommendations would be welcome.

• Run all jobs 
• Navigate to all modules 
• login as end user 
• create new role / application / report / campaign 
• Raise request - role / application access 
• Validate JML flow 
• validate use cases which are implemented specific for application
