Name Change Use Case

Hi Everyone,

We have requirement to change the email, samaccountname, DN, UPN when there is change on first name last name from Trusted source. I am using a CP to store the UPN which is same as email. I explored the user update rule to trigger the action when first name last name changes there i can see action to generate email but i tried the same email was not updating. 

Also I am not sure how we can handle to change or generate the samaccountname DN based on user first name last name. Do we need to create some kind of custom JAR here to handle it ?

Note :  Saviynt handle the email and systemusername (which we use as samaccountname for AD)generation

Any pointers here to help us ?

Hello @sabthamis,

Once the email attribute have the value, it wont be not create new email.
This is product expected behavior.
You can handle it via customjar, where you need use the updateuser api.

Hi @sabthamis , you can trigger user update rule on name change --> in action , select custom action that will call the java class and can be used to update email using updateuser API call --> another rule that will trigger on email change and sync saviynt attributes in AD
