Maintaining historical audit data

We would like to know about how to maintain historical audit data from another IGA product/legacy IAM solution within Saviynt. This would include old certification data such as campaign fulfillment reports. And if import is not possible then can this data be maintained outside of Saviynt in an associated database?

Hi @manu 

In Saviynt you cannot import historical audit data from another system but Saviynt offers a capability to run reports against an external database which can be connected to Saviynt using the Saviynt connector framework and the Intelligence Module.

For instance your current database where all this data is stored, using the Intelligence module reports can be created which will query the database to fetch the data rendering on Saviynt UI.

This can be achieved by the following :
1. Create a connection to the existing database
2. Create a new analytics in Saviynt (https://docs.saviyntcloud.com/bundle/EIC-Admin-v23x/page/Content/Chapter17-EIC-Analytics/Managing-An...)
3. While creating the analytics in the "ExternalConnection" field choose the connection created above
4. Validate the query follows all the best practices (https://docs.saviyntcloud.com/bundle/EIC-Admin-v23x/page/Content/Chapter17-EIC-Analytics/Managing-An...)
5. Save and Run the report
