Keep system username the same as AD username

Scenario: We have to do a one time load of 100 contractors into Workday. They already exist in our Active Directory. How can we make the systemusername in saviynt the same as the AD usernames. In the Workday User Import Job I see the option to disable "generate system username". Would disabling this just import the users with the usernames from Workday? Is there another workaround for this? Saviynt v23.9 Thank

@myasin : Does that mean those 100 users are not there in Saviynt? Also do you generate systemusername in Saviynt, if so using which methodology your are using?

Those 100 users show up under accounts (AD) in Saviynt but currently do not have User Saviynt accounts. The workday connector is set to generate system username so when loaded those accounts should get a new system username. We would like to keep the usernames they have in AD as their saviynt system usernames. Thanks

How you have planned to import contractors via workday / import sheet ?

if import sheet disable generate system username toggle

@myasin :

Three options

  1. If you have option to pass on AD username to WD then simply map that to systemusername as part of import by selecting Generate system username as NO in job configuration
  2. If you don't have option to pass on AD username to WD then, First upload 100 users directly to Saviynt(populate column systemusername along with other attributes) using file upload option and select Generate system user name as NO as part of upload and later you can run WD import by importing those users to WD
  3. Other option is, Upload users to WD and run the user import via connection with Generate system username as NO in job configuration later upload users using file upload option to update the system username as AD username.
