Delegation functionality

Hi,

A user should be able to delegate their approval in case of sick leave or other situations where that user won't be able to handle approvals.

Below are the situations, I need to enquire whether they are possible to achieve in Saviynt?

• A user needs to set up delegate manually from ARS or it can be achieved by changing any user attributes?
• When a user is set as delegate what type of approvals are not delegated to the user? E.g. Like roles can’t be delegated.
• When a manager delegates their approval of access requests, can this be scheduled. For example: A manager goes on an 8 week vacation and needs to delegate the first 4 weeks to person X, and the remaining 4 weeks to person Y, is this possible in Saviynt? 
• Prior to designating a substitute, the delegate should receive confirmation that the responsibility for approval still rests with them. is it possible to show such messege in Saviynt?

• When a user is set as delegate what type of approvals are not delegated to the user? E.g. Like roles can’t be delegated. - Delegation is for all modules and can't be restricted per object
• When a manager delegates their approval of access requests, can this be scheduled. For example: A manager goes on an 8 week vacation and needs to delegate the first 4 weeks to person X, and the remaining 4 weeks to person Y, is this possible in Saviynt?  - Yes this is possible
• Prior to designating a substitute, the delegate should receive confirmation that the responsibility for approval still rests with them. is it possible to show such message in Saviynt? - Yes email can be sent

Create 2 different delegate with one with first 4 weeks and second with next 4 weeks using start date & end date option

delegate 1 for -4 weeks to rushikesh & delegate 2 is for next 4 weeks ( we can setup in advance) to yash

Hi @dkumar 

Yes, You have the option to define the start date and end date while setting up the delegate and you should be able to split and setup the delegate accordingly.
