Hi Team,
We have a requirement to trigger request approval workflow (Resource Owner Approval) based on user attribute.
For Eg - User's customproperty13 will be set as 'Yes'.
if Yes - It should trigger the approval workflow for a certain application (Connected)
Please let us know if this can be achieved ?
Thanks,
Sitarasmi

Sitarasmi,
You cannot trigger Workflow A or Workflow B based on a user attribute, what you can do is configure your workflow to follow a certain path based on the user attribute.
If my understanding to your requirement is incorrect, Please provide the use case you want to implement.

Hi Avinash,
Below is the requirement:
Line Manager will update one of the user attribute (Mobile Required = Yes) in Saviynt.
If the value selected Yes - Application Owner workflow to be triggered
Then Application owner will login to Saviynt & approve the request
Once request approved, ticket will be generated for IT helpdesk
Please let me know what is the best possible way to achieve this.
Thanks,
Sitarasmi

Hi Sitarasmi,
If I understand correctly, you are looking to trigger the workflow on an update of a user attribute.
Now, this can be done only via the update rules. However update rules will create a task not a request so your workflow will be skipped.
To create a request, you will have to use the ARS, and again the user attributes does not come in play.

Yes, update rule will only generate tasks not requests,
Thanks Avinash for your suggestions & guidance.
