Can you make certain user fields mandatory when importing users?

Hello,

Is it possible to make certain user fields(username, firstname, lastname, manager, etc) mandatory to have during an import from an application such as workday?

Use case is that we would like certain users to not be imported into Saviynt if they are missing predefined mandatory fields within Saviynt and be able to report on those users that failed to be imported.

Thanks,

Aundre

Hi Aundre,

There are a few attributes that can be done which is available from Global Config > Identity Lifecycle but apart from that, user attributes cannot be configured as mandatory during an HR import process.

Here are some options I can think of

a) You can use inline processors to filter out bad data.

b) Use analytics to identify and report them to the HR and reduce it gradually over time

c) Make use of Workday Report As a Service (RAAS) to only list out the information which needs to be consumed in Saviynt.

For the third option, additional reading information can be found here : https://saviynt.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/43000618934
