Hi,

as we don't have custom query anymore post 23.7, I was trying to rename a Technical rule using Enhanced Query execution job. However it keep saying You cannot modify "Name" column of HANARULES. Can anyone confirm if can/can't use Enhanced Query to rename rules?

Hi @shibinvpkvr ,

I confirm existing queries can only be executed and scheduled but not modified.

For modifying Provisioning rules, it is unfortunately mandatory to recreate them from scratch.

Yes. I was able to rename those using custom queries earlier. I know it is no longer possible. Just checking if its possible using Enhanced Query job.

Any specific reason to modify the name of technical rules?

Also did you analyze the impact for same for existing users for which this rule has been already executed?

This is to correct some typos and make it meaningful. I am just trying to avoid creating a new one and disable the existing if at all possible.

also what impact are you referring here? I thought hanarulekey is the reference attribute in all tables. Does it really matter for the rule name to be kept unchanged for any functionality within saviynt?

@shibinvpkvr , One of the impact I can think of is on user's history tab, where it displays and stores the Rule's name instead of hanarulekey.
