Any way to remove the recent activity section from the home page?

Client is asking if we can remove the recent activity section from the home page?  It doesn't seem to provide any value or data.

Remove "Recent Activities" feature from Sav role

When I login in with a user with manager sav role or end user role, I still see it.   Is there something I need to change in the sav role so they don't see it?
