Custom domains

Hello,

We just got our hands on the product and one of my leads had a question that I was unable to answer. Also, I am not sure of this is the location where I am supposed to post this. 🙂

Can we apply custom domains to the instances that we have from Saviynt?

At the moment, the URL is something like xxxxx.saviyntcloud.com. Can we customize this in any way? I do not mean redirecting. Redirecting will work, but if we want to do API calls to the application, a redirect will not work.

Hi @PaulCotos ,

This is possible but not configurable directly OOTB with the product. Please work with your project's Saviynt Customer Team (CSM) and log in a ticket with Saviynt Support for this to engage DevOps.

The app certificate would then have to be provided by the customer as well.

Hi @PaulCotos - I just thought I'd follow-up and let you know that Sahaj has followed-up with the Saviynt Support team, letting them know how to accomplish what you are asking for.

I apologize for the mix-up earlier. The support desk is trying to bring more people to the forums for "How-To" and "Best Practice" type questions. They didn't realize your request will require work from DevOps.

Apologies for the confusion caused but i would like to retract my statement on the domain customization support.
With the release of our new version (v2021.x) and SaaS platform standardization , we have disallowed this customization and is no longer supported.

Hi Sahaj,

What was rational for disallowing it? From end user experience address is too long and complicated, from our internal tooling this is also falls of the branding internally. 

Can we rise feature request or something to review this?

@sahajranajee - it is more than 18 months since raising and I see no signs of Saviynt prioritizing this feature. How does the ideas platform/roadmap prioritization work?

To work with Saviynt to help prioritize an Idea, I recommend working with your Saviynt CSM or TAM.
