How To - Resolve error while Attaching Files On Create & Modify User Form

Problem Statement:

Requester is getting error on ARS screen on attaching files on Create/Modify user's request screen.

Solution

The externalconfig.properties file needs to be updated with the missing extensions (below entry) to fix the issue.

1. Navigate to Admin>Setting>Configuration Files

2. Download the externalconfig.properties (Ensure to keep a copy of the original file before making changes)

 3. Click on Edit and update the below entry with the required file extension (refer following example)

fileupload.allowedextension=xls,txt,csv,zip,xlsx,msg,pdf,docx,png,jpeg,jpg 

 

4. Click on Submit button.

 

5. Restart the application from Admin>Admin Functions>Application Restart

Step 2 can we mention exact file name

@rushikeshvartak are you referring to the externalconfig.prop file name? If so, then yes the file name should be the same. 

For fileupload.allowedextension, it should allow be the extensions.
