Simplifying Job Execution for on-premise workloads

Hi Folks,

Is it possible to execute a unified job for all Windows/Linux workloads that have been onboarded via an on-premises connection. Our usecase involves the onboarding of both Windows and Linux machines from on-premises, resulting in the creation of individual connections, SS, and EP. This compels us to create separate bootstrap jobs. Is there a potential solution to consolidate this process ?

Regards,

Nagendra

@Nagendra Thanks for posting your question. Are you trying to re-run bootstrap on failed endpoints?

You can achieve this by executing one bootstrap job on the On-Prem security System (when you configure the job, select the security system that you had created to represent your Onprem system). This will result in the pick up of all servers associated with the On-Prem system.

Thanks,

Hi @NageshK ,

Thanks for your response. Let suppose we have created 10 workloads for both Windows and Linux on Onpremise . Each workloads has separate bootstrap job. Is it possible to run single job for all 10 workloads windows/linux, Instead of running 10 workloads jobs each time.

Nagendra

@Nagendra We do not need individual jobs for this. Can you elaborate on how you are onboarding the on-prem workloads? Are you using the csv file and triggering external jar job?

Have you followed the below article for onboarding?

Thanks

@NageshK Yes we are using CSV file and triggering the external jar job to onboard onprem workloads.
