Unable to fetch access token using a newly created Service Account in Saviynt

I have created a Service account to fetch analytics result using Saviynt REST API . I have reset the password in Saviynt for this as well .

But when ever I am trying to fetch the access token using /login api , it  is giving me a 401 unauthorized error . Could someone please help with this ?

Hi Sumathi , 

I am using this same url and payload . Also it is working if we are using any other existing service account but not with this new one . 

Could you please let me know if something needs to be enabled in the new Service Account ?

@aibasu did you assign SAV role ?

Are you using user credentials /account credentials?

Hi Sumathi , 

Yes I have assigned Sav role . I am using the credentials which I have set for the user for the user in Saviynt using Admin functions .

It could be any of these following reasons.. Please check the following:

  1. If the user is active.
  2. If the user is having the flag accountEnabled=true
  3. If the user is using a default password where passwordexpired=true.
