Hi Team,
 
System should not allow the User to create an duplicate Entitlement with same Entitlement value for the same Security System, Endpoint, Entitlement type and CustomProperty1 (US Vendor)
 
Steps To Reproduce:
 
 
Create new Entitlement for Organization Acosta(either manually or by CSV upload) using the following attribute values:
 
Entitlement value=xxxxx1
 
Securitysystem=Organizations
 
Endpoint=Organizations
 
Entitlementtype=VendorNumber
 
displayname=NAME
 
Customproperty1=US Vendor
 
Customproperty2=NAME
 
2. Create another Entitlement for Organization ORG (either manually or by CSV upload) using the following attribute values:
 
Entitlement value=xxxxx1
 
Securitysystem=Organizations
 
Endpoint=Organizations
 
Entitlementtype=VendorNumber
 
displayname=ORG
 
Customproperty1=US Vendor
 
Customproperty2=ORG
 

Expected Result:
System should not allow the User to create an Entitlement with Entitlement value for the  Security System ,Endpoint and Entitlement type and CustomProperty1 (US Vendor)
 
 
Actual Result:
User is able to create an Entitlement with  Entitlement value for the Security System ,Endpoint and  Entitlement type and CustomProperty1 (US Vendor).

Hi @AshirvadhN ,

I tried creating it from the UI and it does not allow me to create duplicate entitlements having the same entitlement value, Security System, endpoint and entitlementtype including all other values that you shared above.

Are you using a CSV file to upload? Can you share the CSV file you used ?

Your correct we are not able to create the duplicate entitlement but update is possible.

Can you check once.

In my case create and update both should not allow to have duplicate entitlement values.

Create is working fine.

I see there is an issue when updating from the UI and setting it to the same name as an existing entitlement. This should not happen during update.

I already created the FD ticket and got an update from them.

We checked with our internal team on this request and team confirmed that there will be no restricution while updating the entitlement name and displayname. As restricution will be handled at entitlementid which should be unique value. 
Currently, this feature is not available please create an enhacement request in coummunity fourms and our respective team will take care of it.Thank you for your Support.

Hi @AshirvadhN - One small item that is incorrect in their reply. The url to create an enhancement request (and vote on others requests) is https://ideas.saviynt.com/ 

Just to give more clarity if you have don't have entitlement id populated on respective entitlements then it will not allow to update even during update. But incase you have entitlementid for respective respective entitlements then it becomes the unique fields and it allow you to update entitlement values 

In create it is not allowing you because while create you don't pass entitlement id(it is not supported while creation through UI) hence the uniqueness is dependent on entitlement value and as result it won't let you do duplicate
