All,

Good afternoon. We are attempting to connect to a SQL Server database.

Is there any specific jar file that is needed in order to connect to SQL?

@rmartinez : Yes you need to upload respective JDBC jar to Saviynt to successfully make the connection. You can pick any version of JDBC jar that supports your MS SQL Server and Java version

@sk Thank you for your prompt response. So technically I need to see the version of the SQL server, and then upload that jar file into external JARs?

Product by default having OOTB jar hence you don't need to upload jar again. Let us know if you facing issue while establishing connection

OOTB Jar is only available for MySQL type of DB. Rest all types we need to upload the respective JDBC jar and then restart the application

Third Party JARs are not included in OOTB since a specific version on 23.x. We will have to upload Third Party JARs for MS SQL / DB2 and other SQL servers. Please try adding the necessary drivers in the external JARs.

@rmartinez we had a similar case on version 23.6.

It was for MS SQL and we had to search for specific version and upload it.

Once uploaded we had to restart the server also.
