SMTP Settings - Password attribute is getting cleared automatically once save the changes

The password attribute is getting automatically empty while saving the configurations under SMTP Settings(type Basic Auth) and the authentication at SMTP server level is failing.

The same is working properly in another instance. Does anybody experienced similar case.

The logs are attached here for review. The connectivity is failing due to missing of password attribute from SMTP settings as it is clearing automatically while saving the settings.
