Hi Team,

Please let us know if we make a REST API call to WebService is there an option where it gives a response as a CSV File?

Is download file feature supported for REST API or connection?

Will this file get stored in Saviynt File Directory?

Please help on this. Any documentation for this would be very helpful.

Thank you.

Regards,

Aarthi Anand

You can schedule report and click save to file option in analytics. And then use analytics api to get it stored in Analytics directory.

Hi Rushikesh,

We are not using analytics to generate the file. We need to make an API call to the source application through REST API/Connection get the response to download a file. We tried to test this out with few open-source apps. But when we make an API call, the file content is returned as response. We require the file to be returned as response. Please let us know if there are any references for this.

Once you get response as text you can make file and push to Saviynt data files using saviynt rest api's

Hi @aarthianand93 ,

As per information you have provided I understand that you are trying to get data from target application that to in a file format. But the response of API depends on how the API are built by product team , so please refer the documentation of API to understand the format of response it would provide , if the API only responds in JSON/XML/TEXT then you cannot get response in a file but although Programatically you can convert that into file.
