Removing users from saviynt

Hi,

While updating custom property values for the existing users through file upload. Some users created with the random usernames. Is it possible to delete those users which are created with random username?

You would assume that such as basic function that all other IAM tools have, would exist, but unfortunately not. We have been having similar issues and we cannot delete users and Saviynt will not delete them from the backend, so you are stuck with them. This goes for most objects in the platform such as roles, entitlements or accounts.

No it's not possible to hard delete the users from Saviynt, only soft delete is possible. Soft-delete means inactivate them by changing their status to inactive.

Answer is No as above engineers mentioned. Most of the data (would probably say Any) created in Saviynt couldn't be deleted. Workaround would be, either you can change the status or append the name with deleted. 

Also, worth checking. If you still need to delete the data, please reach out to your SSM.

• you can restore old database backup if needed with help of devops and CSM
