Hi @Karishma may I know the use case? Also which DB are you trying to read/write data? Saviynt has the capability to connect to the external DBs.

Hi ,
Capability to read/write information to an external Database? which Protocol is support?
This capability requires to manage AllocID functionality where it manages number of revoked GIDs as blacklisted to avoid potential conflict.

Thanks,
Karishma.

Hi,
We are currently creating users from Saviynt through User registration form. As soon as we click submit, user gets created. Is there a way that we can check if the user already exists in an external DB and then create accordingly. If the user is there, user creation will not happen in Saviynt. So basically, when we click on submit on the User creation form, we want it to validate with the DB if that user is already present or not. Based on that this new user will be created.

Is this something that can be done in Saviynt?

Thanks,
Karishma.

  • You can attach workflow for user creation in global configuation
  • In workflow you can use Action Event Block and perform custom action using java code.

In Global Config, I am able to see option to place WF for User Modification. I cannot see option to place WF for User creation.

Could you please provide the screenshot of where we can attach the workflow. And also it would be really helpful if you can provide screenshot of sample WF where you used the java code

Same workflow is used for creation as well as modification
