Perform User Update operation to external system without creating task

Hi Team,

We have a requirement where after the User is created in Saviynt (trusted DB), we need to write back the email generated from Saviynt to the DB system. We need to know if this can be achieved without creating an Update User task and only via some job similar to the User import operation that can be done with the "User import via a connection job".

Note - Currently, we are able to accomplish this with the User update task getting triggered via the User update rule and WS Retry utility job running to complete the Update User task, but we want to achieve the same without creating any task. Is there any way to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Hello @sdey_2023 ,

It is not possible to achieve this without creating an Update User task or using the User update rule and WS Retry utility job. The User import via a connection job is only used to import users into Saviynt and does not have the capability to write back to an external system.

The best approach would be to continue using the User update task and the WS Retry utility job to accomplish this requirement.

Thanks
